The Nethermiser Returns
Deep beneath the scorched wastelands, the Nethermiser was never truly gone. This ancient entity, a being of pure malice forged in the darkest corners of the world, had been biding its time. Its vengeance wasn’t a question of if, but when. And during the first two weeks of January 2025, that vengeance arrived.
Multiverse Quest no 4, “The Nethermiser’s Vengeance,” ran from January 1 to January 15, 2025. It challenged players to collect Celestial Fragments from enemies across the world and trade them for four legendary Enjin Multiverse NFTs.
How Celestial Fragment Collection Works
The core loop of every Multiverse Quest is the same: defeat enemies, collect Celestial Fragments, and spend them at the Celestial Shop. But the execution requires planning.
Fragments drop from three types of enemies at different rates:
World Bosses and Dragons have an 80% drop rate. These are the premium targets. They hit hard, but they reward generously. If you can reliably take them down, this is where you should focus your time.
Dungeon and Arena Bosses have a 75% drop rate. Running dungeons is the bread and butter of fragment farming. With over a billion procedurally generated dungeons in The Six Dragons, you’ll never run out of places to hunt.
Open World Mobs have a small chance to drop fragments. They’re everywhere, so you’ll naturally pick up a few while traveling between bosses. Don’t rely on them as your primary source, but don’t ignore them either.
Remember: the loot table rules still apply. Enemies must be within 10 levels of your character for drops to trigger. And your Luck stat directly influences drop rates, so gear up accordingly.
The Four Legendary NFT Rewards
This quest offered four Enjin Multiverse NFTs, each at a specific fragment cost. Players could claim one of each item:
APG-M55 (40 Celestial Fragments): The signature reward for this quest. The APG-M55 is a multiverse item, meaning it can potentially be used across multiple games in the Enjin ecosystem. At 40 fragments, it requires dedicated farming to obtain.
Oindrasdain (30 Celestial Fragments): This weapon has appeared in multiple Multiverse Quests now, establishing itself as a staple of the series. It’s a Level 2 Rare Weapon with solid stats and real collector appeal.
Archspire (10 Celestial Fragments): Boosts your Base Luck stat. At only 10 fragments, it’s the most accessible reward and a smart first purchase since higher Luck helps you farm the remaining fragments faster.
Aeonclipse Key (10 Celestial Fragments): Another entry-level reward at 10 fragments. Combined with Archspire, you can grab two NFTs for just 20 fragments total.
To collect everything, you needed 100 Celestial Fragments across the two-week event window. That’s roughly 7 fragments per day if you spread it evenly.
Strategies for Completing the Quest
The most efficient approach was to prioritize World Bosses first. Their 80% drop rate made them the highest-value targets per encounter. After clearing available World Bosses, players would chain dungeon runs to fill in the gaps.
Equipping Luck-boosting gear before farming sessions made a noticeable difference, especially when grinding open world mobs. Some players also focused on medium-difficulty dungeons where boss fights were faster, trading raw fragment chance for higher volume of kills per hour.
If you’d already picked up Archspire from a previous quest, you had a built-in Luck advantage from the start. This is one of the ways the Multiverse Quest series rewards long-term participation.
Wallet Setup and Claiming Rewards
As with all Multiverse Quests, players needed a connected personal wallet to receive NFT items. This connection is made in Tokenville, the blockchain hub within the game. Once connected, claiming rewards from the Celestial Shop is straightforward: select the item, confirm the fragment trade, and the NFT is minted to your wallet.
The Nethermiser’s Place in the World
What made this quest stand out from its predecessors was the enemy lore. The Nethermiser isn’t just a name attached to an event. It’s a presence that players had encountered hints of throughout their time in the world. Scorched earth, corrupted creatures, pockets of dark energy in the deepest dungeons. These traces all pointed to something lurking below, something patient and angry.
The quest gave that menace a name and a purpose. Vengeance. While the farming mechanics stayed true to the established formula, the narrative framing added weight to every encounter. You weren’t just grinding for fragments. You were pushing back against an ancient force that had finally surfaced.
Planning Your Two-Week Run
With 100 fragments needed for all four items, pacing was important. Burning out in the first few days wasn’t sustainable. The smartest approach was to aim for roughly 7-8 fragments per day, mixing World Boss hunts with dungeon chains to keep the gameplay varied.
The game’s 256 square kilometer open world and its billion-plus dungeons gave players plenty of space to farm without overlapping with others. And because The Six Dragons is available on the Epic Games Store, new players could jump in quickly and start contributing to their fragment count from day one.
The Nethermiser’s Vengeance continued the strong momentum of the Multiverse Quest series, giving both new and returning players a reason to jump back into the world and fight for exclusive blockchain loot. It also set up the story threads that would continue into Quest no 5.
