The Fifth Multiverse Quest Has Arrived
The Mage-King once ruled from a tower so tall it scraped the boundary between this world and the next. His mask, a relic forged from pure arcane energy, was said to grant its wearer dominion over both fire and frost. When the tower crumbled and the Mage-King vanished into the ether, the mask shattered into fragments of celestial power, scattered across the land. Now, those fragments are surfacing again.
Multiverse Quest no 5, “The Mask of the Mage-King,” ran from February 1 to February 15, 2025, and it brought with it some of the most sought-after NFT rewards in The Six Dragons to date.
What Are Celestial Fragments?
Celestial Fragments are special collectible items that drop from enemies throughout the world during Multiverse Quest events. Think of them as a limited-time currency. You gather them by defeating enemies, then trade them at the Celestial Shop for legendary Enjin Multiverse NFTs.
Not every enemy drops them equally, though. Here is how the drop rates break down:
World Bosses and Dragons: 80% drop rate. These are your best source. If you can handle the fight, prioritize these encounters above everything else.
Dungeon and Arena Bosses: 75% drop rate. Still excellent odds. Running dungeons repeatedly is a reliable way to stack up fragments fast.
Open World Mobs: A small chance per kill. Not the most efficient farming method on its own, but every fragment counts when you are grinding toward 90.
One important rule: enemies must be within 10 levels of your character for fragments to drop. If you are too far above or below the enemy in level, you won’t see any loot from them. Your Luck stat also plays a role here, so equipping gear that boosts Luck can meaningfully improve your farming runs.
The NFT Rewards
Four Enjin Multiverse NFTs were available for this quest, each requiring a different number of Celestial Fragments to claim. Players could acquire one of each:
Mask of U’thuchul (40 Celestial Fragments): The headline reward. This mask carries the name and the power of the Mage-King himself, U’thuchul. It’s the most expensive item in the Celestial Shop for this event, and for good reason.
Oindrasdain (30 Celestial Fragments): A returning favorite from previous Multiverse Quests, Oindrasdain continues to be one of the most recognizable weapons in the game’s NFT collection.
Archspire (10 Celestial Fragments): An accessible entry point for players who are newer to the quest system. Archspire boosts your Base Luck, making it a practical pickup even beyond its collectible value.
Aeonclipse Key (10 Celestial Fragments): Another affordable option that rounds out the collection. At just 10 fragments, it’s well within reach for most active players.
That’s 90 Celestial Fragments total if you wanted the full set.
Cabin Level Requirements and Bonus Rewards
To mint NFT rewards from the Celestial Shop, you needed a Cabin Level of 2 or higher. The Cabin is your in-game base, and upgrading it is part of the broader progression system in The Six Dragons. If you hadn’t already invested in your Cabin before this quest, it was a strong motivator to start.
Beyond the standard NFT rewards, ten Multiverse Blobs infused with 10 $ENJ each were awarded to the ten players with the highest Cabin Levels. This created a secondary competition layer for veteran players who had been building up their Cabins over time.
Connecting Your Wallet
To receive any NFT rewards, players needed to connect a personal wallet. This is done in Tokenville, the in-game hub for all blockchain-related activity. If you’re new to The Six Dragons’ NFT features, setting up your wallet connection is the essential first step before participating in any Multiverse Quest.
Farming Strategies for the Mage-King Quest
With 90 fragments needed for the full set, smart players mapped out their farming sessions in advance. The most effective route was to start each session by checking for World Boss spawns across the 256 square kilometer open world. These encounters are tough, but at an 80% drop rate, they’re simply too valuable to skip.
After clearing World Bosses, the move was to chain dungeon runs. The game’s procedurally generated dungeons meant you’d never see the same layout twice, keeping the grind from feeling repetitive even across dozens of runs. Arena Bosses were another solid option for players who preferred a more structured fight.
One tip that veteran questers swore by: grab Archspire first. At only 10 fragments, you could pick it up early in the event, and its Base Luck boost would improve your drop rates for every subsequent kill. That small edge compounds over two weeks of farming.
The Legacy of the Mage-King
The Mask of the Mage-King quest built on everything established in the four previous events, refining the formula and delivering another round of exclusive, tradeable NFT loot to the community. The Cabin Level requirement added a progression gate that encouraged players to invest in their base, while the Multiverse Blob bonus rewarded those who had already committed to long-term growth.
For collectors, the Mask of U’thuchul joined a growing roster of quest-exclusive items that tell the story of The Six Dragons’ evolving world. Each Multiverse Quest adds another chapter, and the Mage-King’s tale was one of the most memorable yet.
