Where It All Started
Before the Nethermiser’s vengeance. Before the Mage-King’s mask. Before any of it, there was the first Multiverse Quest. Running from October 1 to October 15, 2024, “The Beginning” was exactly that: the origin point for what would become one of The Six Dragons’ most popular recurring events.
This wasn’t just another quest. It was a statement. The Six Dragons was putting real, tradeable NFT rewards directly into the hands of players who earned them through gameplay. No auctions, no pre-sales. You played, you completed challenges, and you received blockchain items minted through Enjin.
A Three-Part Challenge
Unlike the later Multiverse Quests that used the Celestial Fragment farming system, The Beginning was structured as a three-part challenge. Each part escalated in difficulty and rewarded a different NFT. You could complete them in order, progressing from beginner-friendly tasks to endgame challenges.
Part One: Path of the Initiate
Reward: Archspire (300 supply)
The entry point. Path of the Initiate asked players to complete the foundational activities of The Six Dragons: craft your first weapon, learn new skills, and master the enchantment system. These are things every player needs to do anyway, so this part doubled as an excellent tutorial for newcomers.
To claim Archspire, you needed to complete all Path of Initiation quests and connect your personal wallet in Tokenville. Archspire increases your Base Luck stat, which would prove invaluable in every future Multiverse Quest where Luck affects fragment drop rates. Players who picked this up early gained a permanent advantage.
With a supply of 300, Archspire was designed to be accessible. The goal was to get as many players as possible into the Multiverse Quest ecosystem.
Part Two: Trial of the Champions
Reward: Oindrasdain (100 supply)
This is where things got serious. The Trial of the Champions required a broad demonstration of skill across multiple game systems:
Combat: Defeat bosses in Medium and Hard mode dungeons across levels 1-10 and 11-20. This meant your character needed real progression, not just a few casual sessions.
Crafting: Craft one Level 1 Uncommon (or higher) item and two Level 2 Uncommon (or higher) items. The crafting system in The Six Dragons has over 300 craftable items, so there was plenty of flexibility in how you approached this requirement.
Enchanting: Enchant one Level 1 item to +4 and two Level 2 items to +4. Enchanting is a risk-reward system where higher levels of enhancement can fail, so reaching +4 consistently takes resources and some luck.
Trading: Acquire the Trader’s Certificate Lv2 from the Journey of Legends questline, then buy and sell a minimum of 10 items in the Player’s Marketplace.
Oindrasdain itself is a Level 2 Rare Weapon. At only 100 supply, it was significantly more exclusive than Archspire, and earning it meant you’d genuinely engaged with every major system the game offers. This weapon would go on to appear in the Celestial Shop of nearly every subsequent Multiverse Quest.
Part Three: The Shadowsong Challenge
Reward: Shadowsong (30 supply)
Thirty copies. That’s it. Shadowsong was the pinnacle reward, a Level 3 Epic Staff reserved for the most dedicated players in the community.
The requirements reflected that exclusivity:
Mount Progression: Acquire the Ivory Dragon mount and upgrade it to Level 3 through the Journey of Legends questline. Dragon mounts aren’t quick to obtain or upgrade. This alone represented significant playtime investment.
Blockchain Engagement: Mint a minimum of 2 Enjin items in Tokenville and craft at least 1 Enjin item via the Blacksmith Service. This ensured that Shadowsong holders weren’t just skilled players but also active participants in the game’s blockchain ecosystem.
With only 30 in existence, Shadowsong remains one of the rarest NFTs in The Six Dragons.
What Multiverse Quests Mean for the Game
The Beginning established a model that the development team would iterate on across five subsequent quests and counting. The core idea is straightforward: play the game, earn real digital assets. But the execution carries more weight than that.
Multiverse NFTs minted through Enjin aren’t locked to The Six Dragons. They’re part of a broader ecosystem where items can carry value and recognition across multiple games. When you earn an Archspire or an Oindrasdain, you’re not just getting an in-game item. You’re getting a blockchain asset tied to your wallet.
The three-part structure of The Beginning also set the tone for accessibility. Part One welcomed everyone. Part Two challenged intermediate players. Part Three was for the committed few. Later quests shifted to the Celestial Fragment system, which offered more flexibility in how players earned their rewards, but the spirit remained the same: real effort equals real rewards.
For anyone exploring the Multiverse Quest series for the first time, this is where the story begins. Everything that followed, from The Timeless Tramyarus to The Mask of the Mage-King, built on the foundation laid here in October 2024. Participants needed just a Level 1 account to start, and once earned, rewards could transfer to other accounts afterward.
